Happy Birthday Ben
Birthday shout out to my wonderful husband Ben!
The day started out in the late morning with Ben's requested birthday breakfast; Belgian waffles, sausage, eggs and orange juice.
After breakfast it was gift time.
For Ben's birthday gift I gave him tickets to the Chargers vs. Denver Broncos game in November.
In the afternoon Ben and I met up with Matt and Tana, Bens parents, and had lunch at Zupas. Ben and I then watched "In Time" with our good friends Pierce and Karissa Walker at the Megaplex. It was a great movie and we had a lot of fun.
After a long decision making process Ben decided to go to Chilli's for dinner. Once dinner was over Pierce and Karissa took us to the Real Salt Lake vs.Seatle Sounders game. Salt Lake won 3 to 0..... All thanks to Ben's birthday charm....and Soborio and Grabavoy's winning goals.
The end of the day was topped off with the obvious... Birthday Cake! Ben requested that instead of the traditional cake we do cheese cake.
Of course that meant Cheesecake Factory's White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. YUM!
Happy Birthday Ben! Hope you had a fun filled day because you deserve the best. Love you more than anything!

Spooky Cookies Halloween
This year I decided that it would be fun to decorate our apartment nice and spooky in lieu of Halloween. There are only two holidays that I decorate for, Halloween and Christmas.I must say that I do enjoy decorating for Halloween just a little bit more. Here are some fun picture of this years decorations.
First things first... Table decorations. Probably the most important feature in my opinion. I had a lot of fun here. I found some very cute salt and pepper shakers from Tia Pan. They fit in perfectly with my whole spooky design, and only a dollar, I couldn't resist.
I had a hard time finding an inexpensive tablecloth that wasn't too cute. I wanted something more dark and gruesome. Luckily I was able to find some spiderweb cloth and just used it as a table runner.
With a few finishing touches...
I had exactly what I wanted.
After the table was finished I wanted to make sure that I had enough spiderwebs. This added the exact amount of spookyness. This is a good, easy, fast, and fun way to decorate for Halloween. Adding it to the picture frames that were originaly hung gave the illusion that your in a haunted house somewhere. On top of that I had a little more fun and added some "do not cross tape" across the TV.
Carving pumpkins!!
To finish everything off Ben and I carved pumpkins. We wanted to do something a little more original.
Going online we were able to find some fun free outlines. We simply copied the outline over and voila! Spooky and creative.
After all that I took the pumpkin seeds and baked them with a little salt, put on Interview with the Vampire, and snuggled down in our newly decorated, spooky cookie apartment.
